BIO: Professor Everitt has been a voice instructor at NWFSC (formerly OWC) for over eighteen years and teaches Music Humanities along with her duties as the director of the Madrigals. Under her direction, the NWFSC Madrigals have performed concerts in France in 2005, 2007 and 2009. Professor Everitt directed the Symphonic Chorus from 1997 - 2004. She is a product of the Okaloosa County school system as well as an Okaloosa-Walton Junior College alumnus. She received her BA in Music Education from FSU and her MA in Humanities from the University of West Florida. Before joining the faculty of NWFSC, she was the music director at Cherokee Elementary School, and the choral director at Ft. Walton Beach High School and Pryor Jr. High School. Mrs. Everitt was guest conductor for the 2008 Okaloosa All-County Treble Choir Concert and frequently adjudicates the District I Choral Solo/Ensemble and Choral Festivals. Allison was a featured mezzo-soprano soloist in the NFSO's December 2007 Holiday Concert, December 2006 performance of Handel's Messiah and April 2005 performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony and soprano soloist for the NFSO performances of Mozart's Requiem, Carmina Burana, Verdi's Requiem and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Allison is also active in Musical Theater and her past performances include being Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Denise in The Baker's Wife, Bet in , Jane in Brigadoon, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Beth in Guys and Dolls, and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, for which she earned a Stagecrafters Best Actress award. She has been the vocal coach for OWC/NWFSC summer productions Oklahoma, The Man of LaMancha, West Side Story, Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, Into The Woods, Will Rogers Follies, Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, Aida, Anything Goes, Gypsy and this summer's Beauty and the Beast.
