Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - MCSE

This program provides the student with the knowledge and principles to plan, install, implement, manage and support a MS Windows 2003 network environment. It is designed to provide the knowledge necessary to take the MS MCSE for Windows 2003 certification exams.

Together with the core exams, the elective exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in solution design and implementation. MCSE candidates should also have at least one year of experience implementing and administering network operating systems and desktop operating system

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) candidates on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 track are required to satisfy the following requirements:

Course prerequisites:

  • Before attending this course, students should be able to demonstrate basic user skills in Windows.
  • CDA 2500 - Network Technology (may be waived based on experience)

MCSE Core exams (six exams required)

  • One client operating system exam
  • Four networking systems exams
  • One design exam
  • Elective (one exam required)

  • CDA 2523 - Windows Client Operating System
  • CDA 2525 - Windows Server Environment
  • CET 2497 - Windows Network Infrastructure
  • CTS 2302 - Windows Active Directory
  • CTS 2320 - Planning and Maintaining Windows Network Infrastructure
     
  • CTS 2300 - Designing Active Directory & Network Infrastructure
       OR
  • CTS 2310 - Designing Security for Windows Network
