CompTIA A+ Certification
The CompTIA A+ certification is the industry standard for validating vendor-neutral skills expected of an entry-level computer technician. Those holding the A+ certification have a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosis, preventive maintenance and basic networking.

A+ and Your Career
Every business uses computers and skilled technicians are a necessity. A+ opens the door to an exciting career in computer technology at an affordable price. A+ certification is the perfect launch pad into other more challenging careers in information technology.

Employers Look for the A+ Certification
A+ Authorized Service Centers hire A+ certified employees because they know the job will get done right the first time and that saves them money. If you're A+ certified, you have a respected credential valued by the IT industry.

A+ Training at OWC
A+ certification is a CompTIA – sponsored program that certifies the competency of entry-level (6 months experience) computer service technicians. It is a good place to start on either the Computer Engineering Technology (CET) or the Network Administration (NA) degree. This certification covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies, but is not bound to any vendor-specific products. Two courses, CET 2171C PC Hardware and CET 2178C PC Operating System, simulate hardware and software problems encountered in PC maintenance.

CompTIA Network+ Certification
The CompTIA Network+ certification is the worldwide standard of competency for professionals with nine months experience in network support or administration. The Network+ certification validates technical competency in networking administration and support. Those holding Network+ certification demonstrate critical knowledge of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation and network support. This certification is geared toward those with nine months field experience in network administration and support. Take CDA 2500 and prepare for the Network + certification.

CompTIA Security+ Certification
CompTIA Security+ is the standard validation for the workforce to effectively combat hackers, network attacks and security threats. A CompTIA sponsored vendor neutral certification on the concepts associated with network security, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organizational security. One certification exam is required. Take CET 1660 and prepare for the Security+ certification.
